WHY SPECIALIZED CARE MATTERS IN PELVIC HEALTH

There's a wide variety of experience and expertise when it comes to pelvic health. Therapists can say they treat pelvic health after taking a single weekend course. Or they may only see a few pelvic health patients each week while spending most of their time working on the rest of the body.

This often leads to you receiving "one size fits all" treatment, just biofeedback or being told Kegels will fix everything. You may see some temporary relief, but no one is getting to the 'why' so symptoms often return.  You can spend weeks doing the same thing without results, get passed off to an aide or student instead of an expert, and end up thinking 'pelvic therapy just didn't work for me.'

If you've tried pelvic therapy before without relief - you didn't fail therapy and it doesn't mean that it's not what you need - you likely just need a more specialized approach.

A Message From Chelsea:

Dear Community,

Hi, I’m Chelsea — founder of Fit For You Pelvic Rehab.

If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve been dealing with symptoms that feel frustrating, confusing, or maybe even dismissed.

Maybe you’ve been told what you’re experiencing is “normal after having kids,” “just part of being a woman,” or something you simply have to live with.

I started Fit For You because I saw too many women struggling in silence or feeling like they had nowhere to turn.

Women deserve better care.

They deserve providers who listen, take time, look at the whole picture, and create a plan that actually fits their life.

At Fit For You, my goal has always been to create a space where women feel safe, heard, and supported — not rushed, judged, or brushed off.

A place where you can ask questions openly.

A place where your concerns are taken seriously.

A place where healing feels collaborative, empowering, and realistic.

We know that reaching out for pelvic health care can feel vulnerable. Many women tell us they waited months — sometimes years — before finally scheduling because they weren’t sure if what they were experiencing was “bad enough” or felt uncomfortable talking about it.

Please know: you are not alone, and you do not need to have it all figured out before reaching out.

I’m so glad you’re here.

— Chelsea
